I am really excited to be finally getting up and running on this new venture of mine. This blog is going to be about all things crochet related. I will feature items I have made and current works in progress (or WIPS to use crochet slang). I will also be looking at what’s hot in the crochet world, developing my own patterns, seasonal items, how to tutorials and much more.
A little bit about me now, my name is Lucy and I live in Cheshire in the UK. I am a completely self-taught crocheter. About 5 years ago I bought myself a crochet magazine in a shop which came with a hook and some wool. Using the magazine and online you tube videos I gradually taught myself the basics and I was hooked (groan). What I have always loved about crochet is the versatility and wide range of things you can do, I feel this gives it the edge over knitting for me. I love the fact you can make chunky dense jumpers, lacy summery shawls, filet crochet, toys, flowers and more. There is always something new to learn and a new technique to try which means I never get bored. I am a self-confessed geek and love doing geeky crochet items. My husband is a Doctor Who fan so I have made quite a few pieces for him, Star Wars characters are my current interest.
So please sign up and follow my blog or follow me on social media, links to my various accounts are at the bottom of the page. I really hope you’ll enjoy the blog and I’m hoping it inspires a few of you to pick up a hook and have a go. In the meantime here are some of the items I have crocheted in the past.

I love all the crochet items you have displayed for us, would you have a pattern or tutorial video, where I could learn to make one? I have recently moved in with my daughter, due to health reasons. Heather, is an Owl Fanatic, she would love that blanket /throw. Whether you do or not, thank you for sharing!
